A dear friend asked me to review some literature he mailed to me. My review began to turn into an article, and it just seemed appropriate to share it with you. This literature supports “The King James Version Only,” or “The Authorized King James Version” point of view. One flyer has this heading. “New Age Bible Versions, An Exhaustive Documentation Exposing The Message, Men and Manuscripts Moving Mankind To The Antichrists One World Religion.” Then, below this heading, fourteen of the most popular English translations were listed. When I saw that heading, I was really turned off! But I went ahead and looked through the rest of the flyers anyhow. I will explain why that header is offensive to me, and I will describe where I think the antichrist system will actually come form. My views are probably different from the ones you are used to hearing, so I hope you will give me a chance to stretch your mind on this subject. G.A. Riplinger, the author of these flyers, is implying by such a label that all who use any of these English translations are (at worst) new agers, and (at best) heretical Christians. She is saying plainly that the KJV is the ONLY translation that DOES NOT move mankind to the antichrist’s one world religion. In truth, we will find as much truth (and the same truths) taught in churches using these English translations as are taught in his church. And just as a guess, I would assume that some of these churches using these other translations are leading more people to a true salvation knowledge of Jesus Christ (by his definition) than his church (and those churches that agree with him) are able to do. She is an accuser of the brethren who is bringing dissention into the church to draw attention to himself, the purported purveyor of THE truth. She is disfellowshiping fellow Christians based on their choice of Bible translations. Christian fellowship and unity is found in our common salvation in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, not in a common Bible translation or doctrine. Can you see the problem our Chinese brethren, our Mexican brothers, our Aramaic speaking brothers have if they can’t read English? This is cultism, plain and simple. Even if she is right about the KJV, the way she distorts and attacks is characteristic of cultists. Yet, she is a sister in the Lord, and we must not forget that. For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; and all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities like the wind, take us away. (Isaiah 64:6) Every word of God is pure, (Proverbs 30:5) that is true, but all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment, and our "righteous deeds" sometimes corrupt the pure word of God. The Bible (in the original Hebrew and Greek text) is inerrant, but that cannot be said of us, or any of our translations into any language. That being true, those who teach error (or truth) will teach that error (or truth) no matter which Bible translation they use, and that includes the KJV. For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God. (2 Corinthians 2:17) Last month a KJV only guy was showing me a lot of scriptures in the NAS he said were teaching error, and he showed me what he thought that error was. I looked at those scriptures and could not see the message he said was there, and I don’t know of any Evangelical or Charismatic church that sees or teaches what he said was there. I don’t know if that is paranoia, or the result of brain washing, or just hateful cultic teaching. I could go into an academic argument showing from the history of codex’s and denominations that the KJV also has its translation problems, but a KJV only person would refute every one of them, and be all the more set in his ways. Even so, at the bottom of this page is a list of websites/articles that endeavor to do just that. Riplinger calls Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, Bill Bright, Hanagraaff, and many other great theologians propagators of new-age bibles and doctrine—people who are preparing the way for the antichrist. I have seen a dozen variations on this theme of cultists accusing the entirety of Christendom of being heretics in order to make them look like the only authority left for us to turn to. Have you noticed that Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses have their own translation, because they believe even the ancient Hebrew and Greek manuscripts were tainted and corrupted over the centuries? It is interesting to note that the Jehovah Witnesses hold the KJV to be nearly equal with their New World Version. And when dismayed Christians close the door on them, these Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses are all the more determined to believe that they alone are right. So, where is error coming from? Error comes from our own sinful nature, and from Satan who is taking advantage of our sinful nature. Sermons are preached on that one sentence. Just recall all the scriptures that address our sin nature, and that will be sufficient for the moment. What is this antichrist religion and system that I see coming? I think that Bill Clinton was a prophet to the antichrist system/religion most of Christendom anticipates when he said, “it is the economy, stupid!” I think the antichrist system is so subtle, so subliminal, but so powerful all at the same time, that very few are aware of it’s existence. This religion has been around since Adam and Eve left the garden. A religion is anything you love, admire, and devote most of your attention to. Now, let’s go another direction for a minute. It is illogical, it is inconceivable that any existing religion (Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism, etc.) could convert the whole world to its dictates, but religions such as Islam would like to force all living humans into submission to their religion. I think this antichrist religion has ALWAYS been the world or universal religion, and its name is “the love of money and the power it brings.” When we have political elections, way too many Christians vote their pocketbook and their power to dominate. Look at a majority of our black brethren. They are so zealous in their faith, and their doctrine is so solid. Yet many of them vote in diametric contradiction to the Word of God. They vote for abortion, the homosexual agenda, anti-Americanism, & socialism (the most antichrist & liberal of Democratic candidates) because they feel an obligation and loyalty to this party. That is why I called Bill Clinton a prophet, because he saw his prophecy fulfilled. The voters believed him, and he drug our nation into 8 terrible antichrist years, and it can happen again. Most people of every religion on earth espouse one religion but live another, that religion being—The Love of Money, and the Power it brings. I think that a world leader is coming who understands what Clinton succeeded in, and will bring this religion to its logical conclusion. And if possible, even some of the elect will be deceived by this appeal to filthy lucre and personal security. For years I have been considering where all this is going, but I stand pretty much alone in this view. Why? Because all the old traditional teachings still dominate. And among Christians all these teachings are coming out of fatalistic doctrines that make them all the more susceptible to seeking security and safety (secured by money and power). I never said one thing that was critical of the KJV or supportive of any other translation. To me that was not the REAL issue. Instead, I tried to show the lack of “Fruit of the (Holy) Spirit” exhibited by cult leaders (they hate, or are hateful towards anyone who disagrees with them).
